I have been looking at AJ's (marketcircle) report that displays tasks for a given user .

This is great but would it be possible to add the organization the task belongs to? This would be really useful!

Hi Jamie,

Do you always just have only one organization linked to a task? How do you know what organization it belongs to?

There is a token called All 'Organizations as String". This will display all the organizations that are linked to it.

Can this be pulled in through a table. The result from the report just says NULL. Am I missing something?

Double click a dynamic cell text in the table.

Follow this path:

Data row -> Task -> allOrganizationsAsString

Hmmm. Still getting null.
The path in the dynamic text reads:
parent.parent.reportData.objects.allOrganizationsAsString
Is that correct? This is quite frustrating.

I really need some guidance on this. You make it sound simple so I cant understand the long delay with assistance. confused

Could it be something to do with the 'subtasks'? I am using subtask timer.

ahhhh, getting closer i think.

The problem is the tasks aren't linked to the organization! They are linked to the 'project' which is THEN linked to the 'organization'.

Can this data be produced?

Having to attach every task to a organization would be very time intensive.

New problem smile

How do I order the results by the organization?
When I select 'organization' for the sort choices the report i get "an error occured. Please check the layout for invalid script commands ..."

Since you only ever have one organization linked to the task select the table and sort by field: allOrganizationsAsString

I'm working on having a report for all tasks and subtasks (with their status/start/due) for a project (or opportunity).

Anybody have something in this direction??

So far I have the next task for a project but not sure how to approach getting all tasks and their subtasks...

Thanx
