When I configure the Data source of a Group By to specify the Kind as Task, there doesn't seem to be a way to then set the Group By pop-up selection to organizations.name. The only option is to be able to group by "All Organizations as String". The same goes for "All Opportunities as String". Why is it not possible to group by a task's linked organizations? Or am I just setting it up all wrong?
Thanks, Brendan |

Hi Brendan,
I would probably approach the query from the Organisation data - rather than the Task data - the result will loop through the Organisations then select each tasks related to that Org. Hope this helps. Jason KND Web Consultants |

I thought about that. But I want to be able to specify a date range for the tasks completed. This is for billing purposes. We want to generate a page for each organization of the tasks that were completed (including total duration of all tasks for the period and who worked on the tasks).
That's why I thought I would approach it from the tasks point of view. First filter by tasks completed within a specified start and end date, then group by organization. Thanks, Brendan |
