I've created my own estimate template, and I would like to delete or deactivate the default templates (Estimate A and B). Does anyone know how?
Thanks Ross |

I am looking to do the same thing. How does one remove the default templates for estimates? Thanks!

You'd have to remove it from the App wrapper - but it will makes its way back in at the next update. It is buried deep inside.

Thanks AJ. I am willing to manually remove it even if it will come back in the next release. How do I access the app wrapper you mentioned to remove these files? It sounds like others have the same desire to manually remove the files. Thanks!

cool, i just figured this out.. hopefully it doesn't damage daylite.
Go to Daylite icon, right click and view package contents. Navigate here: Daylite --> Contents --> Frameworks --> MCGroupwareViews.framework --> Versions --> A --> Resources --> English.lproj Within this folder, delete (or move elsewhere) "GWEstimateTemplateA.dlreport" and "GWEstimateTemplateB.dlreport" hope that helps. Oh, you also have to relaunch daylite for this to take effect. |

This is great Jonathan!
It would also be realy great to find out where all the new reports i the last version is stored. Then it would be possible to copy them and editing them . regards Arild |

Jonathan - thank you so much! Now I need to figure out how to delete templates I created. I can't see them in the deep lists of English.lproj.
Anyone have any ideas? |

Hi Margaret,
Templates you've created should be here: harddrive/Users/youruserdirectory/Library/Application Support/DayLite/Templates Take care, Cynthia MacBook Pro OS X 10.5/Daylite 3.7 ______________________________________ Daylite Master Partner, Daylite Report Certified www.daylitehelp.com ______________________________________ |

I just figured out a simple work around to do what I wanted to do. The estimate style selector drop down box shows the estimates in alphabetical order. So I just renamed my estimate with an A at the beginning of the name, and now it is the first one shown in the selection menu. Viola, Eureka, and all that! It only took 14 months for my light bulb to come on, but at least it did. Thanks to all those who posted other solutions.
