Hi
I need an instant report that shows my opportunities, the value of them x by the percentage chance of completion. That way I will have an estimated income predicted and will know how much extra sales work to do. Is this possible with Daylite? Also, is there any way of showing all the opportunities that are at a certain stage in the sales pipeline that I have set up? Basically I'm after the other Daylite functions and also a sales pipeline tracking tool that gives me the info so I know where to focus my efforts Thanks!! Adrian |

Hi Adrian,
You can do this as a report but you can also do this in smart lists. It all depends what you want to use this information for and who you want to make it available to. What kind of business are you in? Do you always need access to this list of information? Are you away from your computer often and do you need to access to this information at this point? Below I'll show you how to get a list of opportunities and arrange them by probability. For the first one you don't even need a smart list. When in opportunities there are three ways to view them. They are located just over the list of opportunities. The first looks like 3 columns, the second looks like a column with a box beside it, and the their looks like a box/square. Select the third view (box/square). What you should see now is a list of opportunities in a table with alternating row colors. Look over to your right where your scroll bar is located. Just above this scroll bar is a very light blue arrow that points to the right. Click on that arrow. This should bring up an Arrange Columns drop down window. Drag and drop the fields you would like to see from the Inactive Column to the Active Column. Once you have done this click the Size Columns To Fit box in the bottom left corner and then hit close. Now along with the list of organizations you will see the other columns you have added. To sort them by probability click on the Probability heading. This will bring down a drop down menu in which you can select to sort by probability. To show opportunities at a certain stage use a smart list. I hope this helps! |

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I have input the opportunties as you suggested and I now have a nice view with probability and estimates etc. But I still would love some more info At the moment, I'm the only one who will view this info and I will always have my laptop with me. What do I need this info for? I need to know what sales activity needs doing and what I find useful is to make a list of opportunities, estimate their value and then estimate the probability of them going ahead. So, for each opportuntiy it will look like this Brigss and Co Estimate 10k Prob %50 projection = 10k x 50% = $5000. By having list like this of all the opportunities, I can then total up all the projections and this gives me a good idea of likely income from all the opportunities- Not a perfect art, but a very useful guide. If I then also include likely implementation dates, i can also see projected income for each month. Opps that become real then get 100% probability. I currently do this on an excel spreadsheet with useful dashboard graphs but would like to know if it possible in daylight as I am currently evaluating for broader use. Thanks again Adrian |

Hi,
This is also exactly what I'm looking for - a very useful sales tool which was one of the only good things ACT 2007 was good at !! Have you found a solution yet ? I'll b sure to come back if I do. It would also be made 100x better if we could get a bar chart of projected income for the next 6 months with the larger bars being made up of smaller bars that show indivitual opportunity values. This can be done within the report engine. |
