Hi everyone,
I've created a Form (for Projects) and I'm trying to do a Report based on this Form. I'm certainly doing something wrong... (certainly because a lack of knowledge in the Report part...) But here are my steps: 1. I create a blank New Report (for Projects) 2. I add a Box 3. I add a Table in this Box 4. I try to add Forms Filter with the "+" in the Data part of the Table (right side) And I'm having the following message when selecting "Forms Filter": Adding Forms Filter at this juncture is not allowed. Please ensure the correct parent element is in place. Anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks. |

A form filter can only be used in a nested table where the parent table has either contacts, organizations, projects or opportunities.
So you have a primary table with gets Projects. Then convert one of the text areas (cell) to a box and add another table within that. On that table, you can add a Forms filter. |

Hi AJ,
I've retried but without success... :-/ 1. I've created a table 2. I've set that table as Projects 3. I've created a box in that table 4. I've created a table in that box And I still cannot filter "Forms Filter" Maye I'm doing something wrong with the step 2. Help is welcome. |

OK everyone... Here's the problem (I think). Forms only works in Reports, not in Print Layouts! I just did the exact routine as above and am now getting the output to work! NO more errors.
Hopefully Marketcircle will fix this to work in Print Layouts as well, but I am now able to output some very important reports now! |

DAMN IT! Well - the first time I tested the report with a simple Form filter and 1 test field, it worked. Then of course I actually spend an hour building the layout and test it again. The stupid error is back. I cannot get rid of the error either by deleteing fields and starting over.
This really sucks. |

Hi,
Did you ever get an answer to your question? I'm having the same problem with the creation of a print layout based on a form and followed all these steps. All I'm getting is "No Data" in the fields. Is it a bug I wonder... |
