I've been diving into reports and print layouts for the past few weeks on the Demo. I'd like to be able to print a page that would list the project name and a few fields, then have a sub-array under each project of each linked contact member and contact fields within that project.
1. Can I do this with a nested table?
2. How do I nest a table specifically?

Yes you can nest tables. Here is how do it:

In your master table, select one cell in your data row (the middle row or last row).

From the toolbar, select to convert the cell to a box.

Now that you have a box (you will have to make the row taller so that you can work in the box), drop a table in there.

For that nested table, select a 'key path' filter. Navigate to the parent row and 'contacts' as your key. The parent row of the nested table will hold one project and that project will have a relationship to all it's contacts.

Now that you have set the data source of the nested table, all you have to do is configure the columns you want to display.

HTH.

I got as far as selecting the key path filter, but am lost as far as "navigating to parent row" and "contacts" as the key. The heirarchy shown in the key path filter window is Table-Data Row-Table-Report. While navigating to "Data Row" and moving to the windows that appear on the right, nowhere do I see "contacts" as a selection. What am I missing?

If you are not seeing contacts - what are you seeing?

It seems like everything except contact and organization.

AJ,
Is it possible to create a custom report that will pull the data from the custom fields created in a form. I have attempted to do this by creating nested table, however, there is only a generic Form Field Definition Name as a column and Form Field as another column, making the data cumbersome to work with at best. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Marc

If you would like to specify form that you want displayed and then only certain fields from that form it is best to use the forms filter instead of a standard filter on the nested table.
