I am so close to finishing my estimate layout but have a couple of issues:
1. Sometimes I need to give a quote for multiple quantities for the same job (in printing this is usually the case) so my client can work out the best price per unit. If I put the same product four times with different quantities, the estimate total is huge. I would like to be able to mark certain products so they can be excluded from the total OR I would like to be able to use on of the Extra fields to simply exclude the total field completely in some estimates. My question is this: is it possible to conditionally display certain fields based on a formula? 2. How can I split my estimate into two sections; one showing products (one-off costs) and the next showing services (ongoing costs)? Many thanks, Galen |

1. Here are some possibilities:
You can have some kind of flag on the item, may it be an extra field. This would require a custom designed estimate and some scripting. The problem is that in Daylite you will still see a huge estimate total. 2. Can't really split an estimate into two sections. You can make it seem they are separated when generating a estimate by scripting on the report side. Another option is to create two opportunities and call one Products and another called Services. |
