I am slowly tackling building a complete Single Project Review Report but I would like my staff just to be able to enter the ProjectName into a field and then for the report to use that name to do build the SQL queries rather than hard code the Project Name in each table Data set.
I have had some success - been able to use <$userInput.InputtedProjectName$> as a user inputted field and then in a dynamic txt field print it in the report. But I would like to be able to use this variable in the Visual Query Filter - not having any success with that. It is obviously looking for a String only in the input field and falls over when trying to use <$userInput.InputtedProjectName$> or anything similar.
Can anyone help??

with 3.2 this has been fixed now. the <$userInput.myInputField$> now works with the GUI query builder in the reporting tools - makes the process so much easier.
