Ive been tooling around with billings for some time now and have been using it for invoicing etc. but not ultimately the way i would like/need. I have for the most part not played with it too much because it seems quite complex whenever you want to customize things but alas, either billings can do all of the following (without me needing a PHD) or its time to move on:
My company starts off with a proposal. There needs to be a mostly text cover sheet, the bid itself broken into 3 distinct phases (prewire, trim, finish) each with its own subgroups--i.e. the trim phase which could include both a telco trim & a security trim. The finish phase which could include a TV install or system programming. etc, etc,
Each phase should have a separate total. There should then be a project summary page that will reflect each phase total & give a grand total. Finally there needs to be plenty of space to add terms & conditions / contract section for signatures.
I would like the slips to go to their respective sections--i.e. programming to the programming section of the proposal.
then of course theres making this into an invoice if the client accepts and reflecting deposit payments.

can billings do all of this or am i better off going elsewhere?
