I have used Daylite for sales of ads for one year now and I still tried to learn how to make my sale process in Daylite more effective.
My sales process always start with a "project". Typical selling in ads for a new number of a magazine. What I´m really missing in Daylite is the possibilities to make a project and link all my opportunities to this project. (Today you can only link a project to an opportunity, which is useless for me.) Think about how great it would be to even have a bunch of "standard reports" that could quickly give me the status for the project. How many ads have I sold, how much money, etc, etc. Maybe even have a own project tab where all the sales info for the project is always updated. I have tried to use keyword to connect the opportunities together, but I´m not able to make a working report myself. The report generator in Daylite is powerful, but not easy to learn, if you have no programing background.
Is someone have solved my problems in a smooth way , I´ll loved to hear it.

Hi Arild. I don't use Projects at... just haven't had the time to incorporate that into my life yet. I have set up an opportunities list which has been very useful for me. I sell magazine advertising so I have set up the fields as such:
Owner: Org: Contact: Stage Name (whether it is a prospect, appt. waiting for decision, sold, etc.):Type (size of ad) Previous amount (for existing customers): Total (for the $ a client has spent this year): Docket In: Proof Out: and Approved. This also tally's up the $ at the bottom so you know exactly how much has been sold. I work in different markets as well so I can simply click on any given territory to see where I stand at my finger tips. If this is something you are looking for I could help!

If you'd like, I could send you my Sales/Product_Report.dlreport template to try out. All you have to do is drop it into a folder and it will automatically show up. If it isn't what you need, you simply trash it and it's gone from your system.
