I am a university teacher/researcher in literature and am keen to hear whether Daylite can help me to manage the array of tasks and projects that I am involved in. Can it help me take the stress out of course and lecture preparation? can it help prepare strategies for completing research projects? Can it help in the day to day running of my classes. It would be good to hear of/ share anyone's experience in this area.

I used to be in higher education and while I now use Daylite in my business communications and copywriting business to track projects, clients, leads, etc., I used Scrivener to prepare lessons for my writing classes at the college, as well as now for my own professional writing. You can check the program out at www.literatureandlatte.com. Like Daylite, it has an active online community, which includes a few professors and researchers. Two other programs I've found useful are DevonThink Pro for research/compiling and OmniGraffle for visualizing broad approaches to complicated research and writing projects before using Scrivener to flesh them out and write.
