I need a way to import from filemaker pro to contacts in Daylite. Any solutions out there?
I don't want to have to input the same data twice on 2 applications. Any solutions to this? TIA |

Thanks, because ths will be the deal-breaker for me on whether to buy Daylite or not to buy it.
I'm amazed at the things one can do with it and the sheer depth of it, but I've invested heavily in my FMP solution and integration with Daylite would be a God-sent Thanks again. |

Sorry for my impatience. Are there any news on that topic? I would like to move my data from Filemaker to Daylite and I hope this feature will assist.
I know that this is already possible using CSV file format. But my existing data is more complex with different tables for addresses, organizations, actions and contacts. |

Been more than a few weeks now. Anyone from marketcircle have any news concerning transferring data from Daylite to flemaker pro and/or vice versa?
This would be an excellent feature and I hope the programmers are reading these forums. |

I am also interested in a way to merge contact and organization data into an quoting/ordering system on filemaker. I know daylite has the estimate feature on the organization but that doesn't exactly fit for me.
The reason is I do technical sales where several different quotes are made for each opportunity until the correct configuration is done. I want to have them all exist in the db at the same time. In Daylite I would have to create multiple opportunities (right?) so I figured I could do this simpler in FMP. Currently, I use excel and there is a spreadsheet for each quote, which I know is stupid and ridiculous that's why I'm searching for a solution. Any suggestions? |

Hello Jon,
You actually can keep it all in Daylite: your exact situation (multiple quotes for a single Opp) is handled well in Daylite. Once you click the Send Estimate (located in the Estimate tab at the bottom of the Opps list), a historical reference of that Estimate is retained for the Opp and if things change and the Estimate needs to change, you just make the appropriate changes on the same Opp and click Send Estimate again. This creates yet another historical reference of the new Estimate. So if you change the specs 5 times, as long as you actually click Send Estimate you'll have 5 references and be able to click through them to see how the quote has changed over time. Thank you Cynthia. I imagine I could then turn the appropriate quote information, combined with other information into a sales order for finance, invoice for the customer, and PO for the manufacturer? That would be a dream come true and I could stop looking at FMP.

Sure, absolutely, you would do those using the report engine.
