Hello Forum,

I am both new to daylite and new to the industry I am using it in, I have been charged with setting up a working database for sales opportunities and projects for a photography company. I'm learning new processes everyday but I feel Daylite has more potential than I am currently realising and am struggling to realise it on my own. Is there anyone using daylite for tracking sales and recording contact made, who is based in the north or England (I am in sheffield) and would be prepared to meet for an afternoon to swap ideas on best practise and usage of the database?

many thanks
Becky

Hi again,

I wonder if you can help again. I am currently at the point where I am using daylite to track appointments and calls made and am finding that I cam getting confused with an outbound call as a task and as an appointment, is there any particular benefit to using one way of logging a call over another (other than the minutes section on appointment outbound calls?) How do you use these features?

many thanks
Becky

Hi Becky,

Outbound Call Appointments are used for instances where you need to call a certain person (or company), at a specific time/date.

I.e. Call Eric at 6:30 on Thursday, July 10th.

Outbound Call Tasks are used for instances whereby you need to call a person or company, but there's no specific time the call must be made (there may be a due date).

I.e. Call Visa and find out about travel insurance options. (possibly due by the end of the week)

Let me know if this helps smile

Hey Becky,

There is a really good guide that I would like to recommend if you haven't seen it already.  It is our concept guide.  It is a great read that will explain the concepts concepts behind Daylite as how to do's can be found in the apple help system in Daylite - try using keywords from the concept guide!!

Concept Guide

This guide will help you to understand the key methodology Daylite was created around. Reading this document will provide you with a good foundation of skills to ensure you really are getting the most out of Daylite. As you progress through the document, you'll be able to better apply Daylite's powerful features to you and your business.
