I am looking for a report that gives a breakdown of the estimate vs actual by item, not only by total. As well, I need ideas about how to handle contracts received. None of the reports show the total of a contract with invoices shown as a declining balance. I have played around with retainers for this purpose, but it is not working the way I would like. I need to see the total of the contract, what has been billed against it and what remains, then a comparison of this to the estimate. Am I dreaming in technicolour??

I like the Totals by Category, but I have created Different Kind Blueprints. Can I get a similar report by Kind? I only want my Expense report by category totals (Total by Cat. gives me ALL categories I have set up, so I want to narrow by Expense Kind) for taxes. Expense Report gives me detailed, but I need only totals by Category. I have expense categories mixed in with other categories (fees, supplies, etc.) but flag them as Kind-->Expense in Blueprint.

I am technically savy and work with programming Filemaker DB, but cannot seem to figure this one out!
