I have just downloaded Billings to trial. Is it possible for my production staff to access a shared timer via the internet. I want them to individually log time against an active slip that I have created in Billings which then feeds back in the a Merlin Project. I have seen other solutions that provide this option via a widget. The only way i can see that it can be done is via a frustrating import export process and everyone having a copy of Billings. any suggestions.

Having just dug deeper in to this forum it seems there has been discussions in the past about the need to implement a server based multi-user feature to Billings. For me it needs to happen before I can purchase it, but I do not want to wait forever. Can you provide an eta on this feature otherwise I will have to commit elsewhere.

I do have a team which won´t need access to Billings, but an option to enter the time on the different tasks. Is there any option of a standalone Timer that feeds back into Billings?

Hi There,

Unfortunately, Billings is geared towards the single user installation. Therefore, all Billings work done is stored on the computer that the work is being done. There is no way, at this point in time to set them up on multiple machines and keep them synced (like Daylite). However, there is a workaround until this feature has been implemented.

1) You can install Billings on multiple machines and each user can individual track their time on their own respective machine. When its time to invoice, they can send (export) their slips/projects to a main Billings machine, which can be responsible for all the invoicing and payments.

I have logged your need for a multi-user Billings as a feature request for our engineers to consider in a future version of Billings, as I do not know of an ETA. I will inform you, should such a feature be available.
