The category report is a nice "snap shot" of business undertaken.
I have another question: When I start work for a client I always charge 50% of the agreed project price to start the project, and 50% upon completion. In the working slips I have a blueprint for Set Up Fee and a blueprint for Final Balance. In say the Web Design category, I will create these 2 slips, invoice the set up fee and leave the final balance until the job is completed. Is there any way I can break down Set Up Fees against Final Balances, so I can get a flavour for how the income is made up in a specific area? Also, would like to be able to calculate all of the working slips in "Set Up" which are waiting to be invoiced, so I know what amount of business is outstanding. Many thanks, Charlie |

I'm not sure we're going to get around to this report for the current version of Billings, but we are working on the next version which will have much easier access to this kind of information.
However, if we can we will still try to squeeze this stuff in. adam |

I should add that this particular thread has been extremely useful in working on some ideas for the next version of Billings. Your specific feedback has been awesome and will see the light of day!
Thx, adam |

Would it be possible to change in this template "Time Spent" for Quantities Shipped?. I use Categories to group my sales by product sold.
Many thanks Rodrigo +++

Hi Adam,
Thank you for this report, it's just what I needed (and spent over an hour trying to create before looking here!) It would be great to be able to choose specific clients and/or projects on the first screen along with the date range, or default to "all." I believe this is what you mention in one of your posts... Thanks again |

I agree that I'm looking for something just like this ... but by client rather than by category. Also, I would like the grand total at the bottom. This is my major complaint with most reports ... I'm always having to get my calculator out to add everything up!
