I have been using Billings 2.5 for several months, I love it! But for some reason the timer will not work. I've setup a work sheet, and when I hit the timer the middle dashes start to blink but it doesn't calculate time? Am I missing something obvious here? I've clicked timed, and even set a start date... ???? I'm sure this is a simple one??

have you changed anything in your setup? i recently had this problem. it turns out that i had copied my billings database from a previous user account (i had to make a new one) and the database wasn't set up with the right permissions.

the trick was to go to:

HOME FOLDER/Library/Application Support/

and make sure the Billings folder in there had Read & Write permissions for my username. You can get to that by selecting the Billings folder, then choosing File > Get Info.

hmm no dice, "Billings" directory is owned by me (read/write) and same with all sub directories...

but yes, I did copy over files from another computer (took my laptop on vacation with me)

maybe this is the problem?
