just wondering if anybody has had trouble with reports since doing the 2.5.6 update. None of custom reports work now. Why?
any help would be great

Hi Fraser,
The report just sits there and says rendering page, and counts upwards, i got upto about 3000pages rendered then i gave up. so no particular error, i just have to force quit the application. hope this helps

What exactly is happening with your reports? Are they ones you have made or the default ones that are in the application?

it's the original ones modified, that worked for over two month...and now I've gto he same problem, rendering page goes up to thousands and never stops.

All of the internal reports have this outcome?

hi oscar,
the reports our my custom one's but they worked fine before the update. so it must be something within the update.

The problem is a combination of the data length and the template. Typically it is a note that is just the right length such that when a page cut is applied it puts the whole text on the next page and then same problem occurs on the following page - and it goes on forever.

I believe the case is that the note needs to cut on the last line - in the middle. The system refuses to cut the text because the remainder is smaller than the allowed minimum of 10px.

This is a bit of brain teaser and we haven't quite figured out an elegant solution.

Remove the note body token from your report and it should run fine - or add a line break at the end of your note and that will cause the page break to happen properly.

I realize that neither of these workarounds are elegant.

I'll try to do this today; if it work, even if it's not elegant....who cares? We'll wait for the next uodate!
