Scenario:
I created some estimate slips, I clicked on "Start working" and they turned grey. So far, so good. I then combined the slips to send a "nicer" and shorter invoice to the client. The amount of hours was combined and the total sum was correct. I then sent off the invoice (let's say Total EUR 1000,-), was happy and closed Billings 2.5 Today I re-opened Billings to send another invoice and shockingly saw that: - estimate slips weren't grey anymore - most importantly(!) the total sum of the recorded invoice info was wrong. it appears that it only took the first slip of the combined ones which is much less money (EUR 500) This is pretty bad as the estimate slips aren't "inactive" anymore and even more bad as there is no way to correct the invoice. Bug! Has anyone experienced the same problem, knows a workaround? I'm using the latest Billings version with updates. |

I had the same problem with Combined Slips. I had not invoiced the Combined Slips yet, but I noticed that all the logged time from all but the first of the Combined Slips had vanished into the ether after I closed and reopened Billings. Thankfully, I knew off the top of my head how much time I had in the Project altogether and so I was able to manually adjust the slip to reflect the right amount before I invoiced, but, yes, it looks like a bug, and it looks like a bad one.
Basically Combine Slips is useless until this issue is fixed. |

Yep, an experiment just confirmed for me that the time is deleted from invoices after closing and re-opening Billings as well.

I have this problem too. At the end of the week, I need to report daily time to my client. But they prefer to see the invoice as one lump sum of hours. Given this, Combine Slips seemed like a handy feature. But it's not. I can't believe how serious this bug is, and how easy to recreate, almost like they didn't even system test the feature.
Does anyone know the status of this? Has the problem been reported? It very seriously messes up your records. |

Does anyone know if this issue has been addressed in this latest update? Or is it all just Leopard stuff?

I wish I had read this thread earlier. Happened to me today.
Bumping this thread to request a response from Marketcircle - it's been almost 4 months since this bug was logged. |

For what it's worth, I finally upgraded to 2.5.5 as I am trying to make the move to Leopard, and this issue was not addressed in that upgrade.
For a minute there I thought I found a clumsy workaround it by exporting the combined slips, then importing them again -- but no. It sort of works sometimes, but it's unreliable. Man, oh, man, I wish you guys would fix this bug. |

We have confirmed this as a bug and are looking into it. Combining slips appears to work at first, but the combined time is lost when restarting the application. I would advise avoiding this feature until we have addressed the issue.
Thanks you for your feedback. |
