Hello,
I think there is a problem while deleting some rows in the template designer. Try this: - create a new estimate template base on the coast estimate design - select the two parts named "[TAX REGISTRATION] Tax name Tax rate" and "Tax Amount" (with the shift key to select the two) - delete them (backspace key) The whole strip containing the total disappears. Is it the way it should be (and then what I didn't understood) or is it a bug ? Thanks for yours answers. |

Still here in 3.0.2
More detailled reproductible steps: - create a new invoice template based on the swiss layout - select the item with "[TAX REGISTRATION] Tax name Tax rate" in it (named TDTax, in TRInvoiceSummaryTaxes). Just select it, don't edit it. - with the SHIFT key pressed, select the item with "Tax Amount" in it (just to its right - named TDTaxTotal, in the same TRInvoiceSummaryTaxes). Same thing, don't edit it, just select it. - so now you should have two items selected, next to the other. - press the delete key to suppress those 2 selected items. I would assume that the correct behaviour is to get an empty TRInvoiceSummaryTaxes table row. Instead, the WHOLE TABLE (TAInvoiceSummary) is TOTALLY EMPTIED ! WORSE: the UNDO doesn't work as planned, as it put back JUST the content of the TRInvoiceSummaryTaxes back, but NOT the content of the OTHER ROWS of the table. So you get an empty table, with no way to get it back. Any official answer about this? |

Unexpected behavior.
Though I would suggest not deleting the row in a table, it completely negated the table's functionality. In this case it seems you just want the total or subtotal. Completely remove the table and just put some dynamic text boxes with the appropriate tokens in to display the needed information. I think the reason why this unexpected behavior occur has to do with the automated layout option on the table. If you select the table and then go the the column on the right side of the report engine you will a section named "attributes" if you expand that then you will see the automated layout option. If you deselect that option then you can actually delete individual cells within the table. With automated layout on it will delete entire columns if you you have an object in that column selected. |

Ok, that makes sense. And it also answers an unasked question: how to delete a column.
Thanks a lot. |
