How do you apply part of a retainer to an invoice? All I see is a check box to apply it all at one time which we never do.
Also We deleted two Invoices in our test and then found that the next one was still labeled 03 even as one and two were never sent so how does one change the invoice back to one so the client gets the first invoice that states 01 and not 03 |

Currently you can only apply all at one time when you apply a retainer to the invoice at invoice creation.
If you would like apply only a portion of the retainer to the invoice you will need to go to the Account Status Tab and Add Payment. You can then select the Retainer as the source of payment and apply the specific amount your want to the invoice. |

Every time you create an invoice the invoice number increments. If you delete an invoice and would like to reuse the number then you need to go to the preferences.
Billings -> Preferences -> Numbering Change the number of the Next Invoice field to the invoice number you would like to use. Be careful, if you have created invoices after the invoice you're remaking you must go back into the preferences and move the number ahead again so not to reuse the invoice numbers. Example: Invoice 1 Invoice 2 Invoice 3 I want to remake Invoice 2 so I go into the preferences and change the Next Invoice Number to be 2. I recreate the invoice with the proper changes. Now if I were to simply proceed creating the next invoice it will use the invoice number 3. But there is an invoice already using that number so before I do this I should go back into the preferences and move the Next Invoice number to 4. |

going to the Account Status Tab and Adding Payment does not reflect the amount of the retainer applied to the clients account on the invoice. How do you reflect what was applied so the client knows on each invoice.
Invoice number change seems to be a lot of steps to do such a simple task. |
