I recently spent a half hour creating a custom report using the "New Report" menu item, and when I go to use the report, it does not show up in the reports list. It was properly saved into the "Billings>>Templates>>Reports" folder, but it does not appear in the list. I can navigate to the report on my hard drive, but it is fairly useless since the app doesn't recognize it.
I'm also curious as to why I need to name my template twice; once when I enter the "New Report..." dialog box and once again after I have created the template and close the layout window. It seems counter intuitive. Help would be greatly appreciated. |

What version of Billings are you using? Version 2.5 was released a few days ago.
The new report should show under the category (ex. Clients) for which the report is created. When creating a new report, Billings will ask for a name, which is displayed in the reports list when you want to run a report. This should something descriptive for the report. When saving the report you've just created, it will ask for the filename to use when saving this report in the Templates directory. Need help in Daylite or Billings? Check the Help menu for Apple Help documentation. |

I believe this is a bug in Billings. It was present in v2 also. You have to move the template file (located in ~/Library/Application Support/Billings/Templates/Reports) to the Templates folder. Then the Reports listing will see it. Weird workaround, but it works.
