Hi,
We are a communications company that is using Billings, but we are experiencing a major problem with reports not showing the correct date we've entered in the logged entry section of workslips. Basically, we need to show clients detailed workslips. We use the workslips to categorise what type of work we are billing for, ie media release or client liaison, and the logged time entries in the workslips to show the date, description and time done for that category. However we can't always log our times on the day the work is done and often have to backdate entries. The dates look correct on screen but when we print out a report the date, if it was backdated, changes to the date it was entered, not the date it was done, which is very confusing for us and we can't use it for our clients. How can we fix this please? Is this a bug? We really like Billings but because of this issue we're seriously considering using other software. Kind regards Sally |

Hi Howdy
Please contact our support team at support -at- marketcircle.com (follow the links at the top of this page alternately). We usually don't monitor these forums for support issues, etc., but if you write to us with the bug, our engineers will look at it and we can hopefully have it fixed in short order. A new update to Billings is on its way, and we should try to get this fixed. HTH, adam |

Hi Adam,
Thank you - apologies for the delay in my reply. Reason being is that I did send an email to Marketcircle support about my query the day I posted my above query. However I have heard nothing back, so thought I'd put something here in the hope it might re-jig a memory. I will also send another query. I noticed the update didn't fix the problem. Kind regards Sally |

I experienced this exact same problem. I backlogged four years worth of invoices, only to find out the dates were all wrong in the reports I generated.

Any resolution to this?
I was being vexed by the same issue. I created a variation of the same report and edited the template, I searched through all the XML,BEX,BID files for clues, and in the end just added every date field in the template to find which would give the desired results. Here's the one: Time Entry End Date & Time parent.reportData.object.endDateTime Format it for Short Date and now the report will show the date you entered in the manual log entry slip. While I was in there I also added the Slip Category field, and the Slip start and complete fields, so the billing period for the slip is filled in as well. |

Help !!!
Can anyone walk me thru how to add slips for earlier dates. It is unimaginable to me that a billing program does not allow you to do this. |

1. Set your Mac's date and time back in System Preferences.
2. Adjust the Next Invoice number in Billings. 3. Create your invoice. There is a bug in Billings wherein any reports you generate will use the date you actually created the invoice, regardless of when your Mac's date and time is set to. |

this is also a big problem for me. i found a way to display the date entered:
In the report i use the object: "time entry start date & time" but the problem is that this entry also shows the time and timezone. Please Marketcircle: ad an object that represents only the intended date of the timeentry |
