Another feature that would be really nice to have is an organizational chart, maybe there is a way to do this through a report that I don't know about, please walk me through how one would do this.
We spend alot of time linking one contact in a company to another. It would be nice if I could click on something and that company's org chart would come up and I could look through it. Alot of us have to deliver these type of things to our companies and personally it's helpful to have for those of us who deal with many people inside the same company, and who then deal with multiple companies just like that. It would also be nice if on the right where the contacts are just listed for a company if it was able to be tabbed over in an org chart fashion similar to what I described in my earlier post about the Organizations. So it would look like this. (I'll use .... to symbolize where spaces would be) John Doe (CEO) ..Jane Doe (CIO) ....Sharon Doe (Secretary) ....Phillip Jones (Director of IT) ......Sammy Jones (Manager of IT) .........Bobby Jones (IT Admin) ..Bob Doe (CFO) ....Janet Doe (Secretary) ....Mary Doe (Director of Accounting) |

It might be worth looking at integration with something like Omni Outliner. I am not at all familiar with this product so this might be off track. The comparison I would make is with Org charts in Visio (MS Win only). There is facility within this program to generate an Org chart from a spread sheet. From memory Visio need Name Position and the name of their immediate superior and calulates a chart from that.
