I find the current notification system to be one of Daylite's weakest areas so I think there's room for a 3rd party replacement that would bring badly needed elegance to the process. For example:

- notifications should run as a seperate application so responding to it doesn't interrupt my work. I absolutely HATE the way Daylite moves to the top when notifications happen; I don't like interruption. Entourage is a perfect example of how this should work. Clean, eleganet and non-intrusive.
- I find the notification window to be difficult to see. It needs distinctive coloring to make it more noticeable.
- The notification process needs more default snooze options to respond to an alert; including "End of day (5pm)", "Tomorrow Morning (8am)"
- When selecting an item with the 'goto' arrow the notification window should get out of the way even when the "float above all others" option is set in preferences.

Anyone else care about this?

And one more thing. I'd like to be able to select multiple items in the notification window and snooze/dismiss them all at once.
