I'm in my calendar and often have an event spanning a few days or more. There's no way to see the detail of the event unless I double-click it and bring up the edit window. Would it be possible to have a 'floating' HUD, or, in the task pane of the calendar views, also have a view that shows the detail of the event. This would also be helpful for short appointments that don't display enough to see the details - possibly with a mouse-over activation.

Mike

That sounds more like a specific feature request, rather than something that could be solved with a HUD.

Suggest you also copy the request to daylite-feedback (at) marketcircle.com if you haven't already done so.

Andy.. I thought it might be so I've already sent the request to MarketCircle. Just didn't know if a HUD might be the answer, or the addition to the Task pane and wanted to see what others thought of the idea.

AFAIK you can't set a HUD in the Calendar view. If you can, I’ve not yet figured out how.

Given how flexible HUDs apparently are, it might be nice if we could.

And +1 on your original request; the inability to see appointment details like that drives me nuts as well. I also can't see why the bottom Task details pane couldn't do double-duty here.

And I can see a lot of people agreeing with you.

But, as a true ‘feature-request’ we are getting off-topic for this forum… smile

thanks again Andy.

Thinking about the 'feature' request.. it might be good to have an actual Feature Request forum where we, the users, can discuss features we would like in DL. Then we could fine-tune the feature, examine the possibilities and make changes so that when the request is solid, then present it to MC.

Hi All

We are thinking about the feasibility of a feature request forum. It has its pros and cons for us, and for the community, so we'll get back to you on that :-)

For now, it's OK to discuss these topics as they come up. In particular, speaking of the Calendar in Daylite, we have been thinking about this particular issue for a great while, in fact, and are aware of the need. I can't get into specifics, for obvious reasons, but we are looking at providing a good solution for this in a future release.

As always, your feedback and your dedication are most appreciated!

Thx
