A Plugin for Billings that imports info back into daylite and also something that means you can see billings in daylite.
Also a timesheet system for staff to log their working hours on projects would be useful without one person having to use the timer for everyone. |

Daylite and Billings do integrate with each other. Check out this link for more information: Daylite + Billings

Daylite and Billings are both great tools.
But as there is a certain overlapping (Clients, Projects etc.) it might be helpful to (optionally) merge both software into one. Or, in other words, integrate Billings into "Projects" in Daylite. I would find it very practical, to have access to everything from one place. Are there thougts regarding this? |

I too would love a tighter integration between Daylight and Billings. As it stands, it's sometimes a little wonky getting a contact or company from Daylight into Billings. As Stefen suggests, it would make sense to have things linked at a project level... I think. When all goes right, what integration there is, works good; estimates and invoices I create in Billings appear in the activity pane in Daylight. Good stuff.
What it feels like is at issue, is that Marketcircle wants to market and sell these apps to two different segments, and doesn't believe that a business that uses one really has a use for another. This is not true, and this forum speaks it. I love Daylight as a CRM and project manager. The DMI is awesome, as is the ability to attach documents to contacts/projects/etc. Billings makes superior estimates and invoices. I rely heavily on the comprehensive timers; and, despite the learning curve, the template designer is a great tool. Does anyone actually use the timers or invoices in Daylight... they feel rather tacked on when seen in the light of Billings. As I said, when you can get these application talking to each other, it works great and feels like a complete package. |
