Desperately needing a Palm Treo 700p Conduit or workaround. Initial sync worked fine and subsequent syncing worked fine too until somewhere along the line data stopped transferring either way (software update?). Odd, since Palm OS is the same as on Treo 650, I think. Help!

Wish I could help you, but it will probably be months before the ship that thing in Canada... especially on my carrier (Sasktel)... The whole regional hardware rollout and carrier exclusive thing really sucks! Imagine selling anything else like that... crazy..

More of a rant than anything usefull...

are you using Missing Sync for the Hotsync conduit? Could be something there.. you may want to check the markspace forum, or whatever sync service you are using..

Good luck,

Tony

Have you tried a hard reset on the 700p and a fresh sync with Daylite? Be sure Daylite is starting fresh too, by clicking both 'reset database to current' and 'reset last sync date' in the Palm area of DL preferences. Let us know! So far my 700p sync is going fine.

Hard reset worked, was saving that as a last resort - what with all the notices of Palm Treo 700 incompatibilities with OS 10.4 and Daylight, was worried that a hard reset would wipe that data and I'd never be able to reload or recover from backup. Luckily the gamble paid off. Thanks for all the help.

Hello. You don't have to do a hard reset. Download Filez and then there are two files to delete on the 700p to "reset" the address book, and two files to delete to reset the calendar.

Is your carrier verizon? do you have more than 2000 contacts?

I have the same problem.

Good point, Bert--Filez is a great utility. I like to do a hard reset if I suspect any misbehavior by the device or its software. If you can reinstall apps and restore data (including important settings) fairly easily, you get a nice clean base in return--but if it's not so easy or you want to try a quicker way first, then yeah!
