Are there any other users of PowerMail out there?
Since I find Mail unreliable (lost sent mail in quite a few [recent] versions), and PowerMail stronger in any case, I would prefer an integration with PM. If it functions as DMI, I'd be happy to pay for it, too. |

I'd be interested in this too as I'm always looking for Mail.app alternatives. I really like PowerMail but DMI keeps me in Apple Mail for now. DMI is a Mail plugin, I'm not sure if PowerMail has a similar plugin architecture with an API for developers the way Mail does, worth contacting them to ask though. What might be ideal is if they could tweak PowerMail to accept plugins made for Mail. That's pure wishful thinking, of course. Lately I'm just hoping that Leopard Mail is much, much better.

I doubt this, as PowerMail started life under OS9. But it is highly scriptable, via Applescript, so some utility should be possible (especially since Applescripts can apparently be wrapped in F-script).
PowerMail is so fast and customizable, that it should really be pushed more as an alternative to Mail which is neither. |

I do quite a bit of AppleScripting. If you have any ideas that you'd like to see please share and I'll see if I can whip something up. I didn't realize that you could wrap AppleScript inside F-Script, thought it was only the other way around. But if that's the case then some useful stuff might be doable. Hi, I thought I subscribed to this thread but apparently I did not, so I missed the last post by weeks!
I noticed that it is possible to select the body of an email in PowerMail, > Services > Daylite > Make Note with Text. - take the subject of the email as a title - link the note to the sender or addressee I guess that this is scriptable, but I would not know how. Ideally, a link to either projects or opportunities would be desirable, too, but that may be asking too much. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Smolk, |
