Today we received a report from DD via our ISP!
Two things changed; a) we upgraded to the most recent version of DD; and, b) we disabled openDNS as the DNS servers of choice. I suspect (in deference to your update) that openDNS was at the root of our problems despite the success of the test mailings. I need to look at the configuration much more closely. If users are having challenges sending then, based on my experience, they should first check their DNS settings and if sending from their .Mac account ensure that they use "smp.mac.com", check SSL and select "password", provide their user-name and password and, if Port25 is currently enabled, change the outgoing port assignment to Port587. This is covered in the .Mac help section (I cannot send email). With thanks for your continued attention to this issue - I shall be making a purchase today. Jules In France |

Are you evaluating Daylite Delivery or do you already own licenses for the product?

Folks,
Am wanting to trial DL Delivery. Do not have a licence but the startup window's 2nd tab tells me that this is a trial of 21 days with 5 reports. Running DL 3.8 beta build 1617. Downloaded latest version of Delivery, placed it in Applications. With Daylite up and running, I launch Delivery fill in all the User and Mail.app data but cannot get Delivery to activate. Constantly get the message :Could not Acquire database: check settings including password. I am an Admin in the User & Teams DL prefs. The database info is correct. If I use the menu item "Send test email to xxx", I receive a confirmatory email. DeliveryCore.log: 2008-09-28 15:08:20 +1000 ====== Daylite Delivery, Copyright (C) Marketcircle Inc. Is this correct? Or will it not work without purchasing a licence? Any info appreciated. Regards, Steve J |
