Hi All,
Prior to Daylite we used a Win based program called Goldmine. When we moved to the OS X platform it took us a while before finding a replacement. Using Daylite in our business (stock brokers) we found a terrific program and 3.5 did wonders for us as we use iPhone as main business phone. (3.5 is great uppgrade btw) There is one feature which we miss. When your business involves meeting people constantly and your calender full of appointments and you need to write a contact report for each meeting (required by law) then the current calender app is not as efficient as task app. The workflow today is difficult as you do not know which appointments a contact report was completed (using notes) and which ones are still "todo". Furthermore, your calender is very cluttered + with your partners calenders it is becoming a mess. One interesting feature of Goldmine was that when you clicked on an appointment, changed the status to completed and after you wrote the minutes on the "details panel", the entry "disappeared" from your calender and appeared on the activity tab on the client as meeting completed. This saved us from writing meeting notes (which as of 3.5 can not be synced) and you could quickly glance on our calender to see which appointments still needed a complete and meeting notes to be done. If there is a similar workflow here please let us know. Jack Aksan |

The ability to see calendar events by status is a really good idea for a feature request. Since events can be filtered by category or source, it would be a nice addition.
If you don't mind working in the Appointment view rather than the calendar view, you can use smart lists this way - ie, build a smart list that shows all completed appointments by user, or alternatively, a smartlist that shows all the 'uncompleted' appointments by user by timeframe. If your users use the Details field rather than the Minutes field, that information will make it over to the iPhone as Notes for the appointment - but I'm not sure if that is what you are wanting or not. Hope that helps a little bit! -E |
