Hello all! Recently I found a truly awesome new open source ecommerce solution called Magento.

Magento rocks! It's a full-blown, many-featured shopping cart built on web standards by people with a ton of experience with open source carts and customizing them.

I had considered the cart from Xsilva that has been mentioned elsewhere, but it's too primitive for my needs (we retail hundreds of products, have a variety of pricing and discount programs, need things like online authorization, wish lists, refer-a-friend and many other sales-building features that Magento has covered already.)

I want to switch from my current shopping cart to Magento, and would like to integrate Magento somehow with Daylite, to eliminate the tedious export-from-cart, tweak-the-data and import-to-Daylite process we are using with our current cart. I spend hours a week right now doing these export-import procedures and I really don't have the time.

Anyone amongst the Daylite developers interested in writing a plug-in for this purpose? I'd rather see someone create and offer this to all of us than have them make it just for our company, not only to spread the cost but also help those in the Daylite community who need better e-commerce solutions.
