Hi there--so far so good using Billings for the past few days. I've tried a couple others out there (iBiz, TimeSlice), trying to make a decision. Billings is at the top of my list. Looks the best, and seems to be the most stable. (No complaints about crashes and lost data.)
I'd have to say my biggest pet peeve is that Billings uses Address Book. I use Entourage, therefore I have to create new clients in Address Book. The only reason Address Book is up and running on my computer is for Billings' use. It's not a huge big deal, as there are only a few clients at a time, but it would be nice to be able to draw data from Entourage.
Now--I'd really like to see more robust written documentation. The help files cover the basics well, but after that... and I like the online videos too. When I need more information, I typically start here, but many of the forum posts are not resolved. I would be happy to pay for a book I can hold in my hands, or at the least a PDF that goes into more detail. I'm sure there are features and things that I'm not even aware of.
Being Marketing People (my assumption from your company name), I know you recognize the value of making your product the best it can be, and that users will pay more for a great experience. I can tell you are a company that appreciates good design. I think the visual presentation knocks your socks off, both in the app and online. With a little more effort on the support side (both written and in the forums), you could blow those other guys away.
