In the Projects View I'd like to be able to see the total Earnings for a project from work slips minus any payments made by the client towards the project as well as any Retainers placed. This is handy as you can effectively see when you've reached the point when your work equals the retainer or payments made. If your client pays in advance, you will know when to request a new retainer.

You can't, why I marked it FR for Feature Request. This is a feature in iBiz 3 which is extremely useful.

I need this kind of function in invoices. My projects run over several months, maybe a year, on the basis of a single fee proposal and monthly progress payments.

You need to be able to show the client the following in an invoice :
- amount quoted by myself (and committed by client),
- amount so far used and invoiced (progress payments),
- amount so far paid by client,
- balance due this month.

Otherwise the client gets lost and puts it on the backburner until you chase them up.

Can this be done in billings ?
