I require a deposit before I begin work for a client. Some clients require a formal invoice for the deposit amount.

So, how do I create an invoice for a partial amount of an estimate?

Thanks--Dina

Has there been any internal update on this topic? This is a very common request for me too and I'm having to really do a work-around to get a close behavior.

I believe I saw in another thread that the suggested work-around was to just place a "Please pay $x for the retainer" type of message in the comment of the estimate which just doesn't work for companies who's AP policy is to not issue checks without a real invoice.
