This is crazy. I ran a report of all invoices sent in a particular period, and the results are sorted in alphabetical order according to the project name. This is completely and utterly useless. Please tell me there is a way to sort by invoice number, or at least by date.

In addition to that, I would also like there to be an "Invoice" column in the Projects pane so I can see at a glance (and sort by) the invoice numbers for a particular client, or for All Projects.

I finally figured out how to sort by date, or by invoice number on the reports. No thanks to the lack of a manual. The sorting option does not appear until you select the "Table" element of your data in the template.

Hi Kris, I really agree, sorting by invoice numbers is a must. This should be standard. Could you please elaborate a little on how you made reports by invoice numbers work?

Ok, think I got it, you have to go to Design>New report, select the "Invoices sent" template as a starting point, then double-click inside the data field beneath the "Invoices date and Project" coloumn, then select "Table" from within the "Fields" coloumn in the "Edit Dynamic text" window. Under Table you can double-click the Invoice number option to add that to the search criteria. Quite nice that Billings is customizable, but Invoice numbers really should be more widely used throughout the application, it should be a viewing/searching/sorting option within the application itself, not hidden away in the basement like this.
