I'm new to Billings but think it's a great tool. Been looking for something like this for a while and am very happy to have found something that suits me so well.

On to my question though.. is it possible to import a text file that I've exported from Billings? I had to reinstall the OS on my mac today and in preparation for this I exported my Billings Projects last night using the Export to text file function.

Now that I've reinstalled Mac OS X and Billings I'd like to be able to reimport the projects from the text files. Is this possible?

Unfortunately it's not possible to import from a text file. Billings has an exchange file format, called .BEX, from which it's possible to import.

However, the best option would be to restore your database from a backup. If you backed up your database (this command is immediately available in the File menu), you can do so by following the instructions in this article: http://www.billings2.com/support/article.php?id=011
