Could someone please explain to me how to use the "round time" feature in Billings? I see there is a selection for "round time" under the slips menu but when I select a slip and choose this option nothing happens. I have seen "round time" tokens as well but, shocking as it may seem, there isn't one single word on this feature in the Billings "instructions" or apparently in the knowledge base. I would like to be able to round my timed slips to the next 1/4 hour but can't find any help in doing so.

Time rounding is based on the unit of time you set in the preferences.. in my case 15 minutes, so if I time for 5 minutes or so, then stop the timer and round it, I get a total of 15 minutes.

I appreciate your response David and that works fine for new slips created after I change my "bill time in" setting to 15 minutes. I have slips created before that I want to round to the 1/4 hour. I suspect that has something to do with the "slip round time" token but I can not find any information on how to use this token and all of my guesses have produced either the wrong result or no result.

I don't believe there is an easy way to reset this?
I'd contact support, they may have a handy script tp reset the round time for all slips? Mark James Daylite Master Partner http://www.yourbillings.com http://www.LgoConsulting.co.uk +44 (0)845 644 6261 |
