I'm currently using the demo for Billings. Quite happy so far. A few questions I'd like to ask before making the purchase:

me: I'm looking at no more than 30-40 clients/projects per year.

1) Can someone describe how they are accepting 50% up front, and accounting for that in billings?
I've seen it asked in a few places, and have seen different answers depending on the version of billings.

2) Is anyone making themselves a client and accounting for expenses (ie: travel, food, tools or other things not reimbursable by a client?)

If not, does anyone use any software which plays nicely with Billings to use in this capacity?
