I love this new feature Recurring Invoice, that mas missing in 2.5!

Problem:
Need to be able to automatically;
1) Fetch current date (year is enough) into a variable.
2) Create current year +1 in a second variable.

Description:
We invoice many of our customers on a yearly basis. They pay for a service we provide. On the invoice we always (manually today) print;
Ex 1: "For the period: 2008-01-01 to 2009-01-01".

Here we would like to automatically print (otherwise we loose a big point with Recurring Invoices);
Ex 2: "For the period: %Year%-01-01 to %year%-01-01" or similar.

Suggestions or tips on how to solve this?
Also, if you could give a hint on how to fetch other variables from within Billings 3, would be great. So we can make our invoices "automagically" more personal.
