Hello everybody!
We're gearing up for the release of Billings 3.0.3 and have made a beta for everyone to try. It has the following changes since 3.0.2
You can download it here. (~25MB) This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kevin Hiscott, |

How can I get my trial period to restart with my download of 3.0.3 beta?
I was irritated by the 3.x bugs regarding adding clients from DayLite and was ecstatic when I downloaded 3.0.3 beta this weekend: it worked... with extras! Then this Monday, gloomy again as I am prevented from logging in because my 21 days has expired, even though I swear 3.0.3 beta said I could restart the trial period. Thoughts? p.s. I really really want this to work, and so does my firm bank account, which is eagerly awaiting for me to invoice. |

I already sent this to the Beta list but as it still hasn't been fixed in the latest build I'll post it here as well.
I'm still having this problem and have to always switch to a different Region which makes working with Billings really painful. I think this might have been a problem with Billings 3 from the beginning. I just didn’t notice as I was working with existing slips until the beginning of October. Only then when I created new ones did I run into this problem for the first time. Today I had a thought though... When using the Switzerland (German) Region the numbers are formatted to display SFr. for currencies: So I though: could it be that the . (dot) in SFr. is interpreted as part of a number by Billings? Finding out was simple... I just changed the Region to India which uses Rs. to as a currency indicator also with a dot. And also here... Entering 50 would turn it into 0.50 automatically. Becomes Notice how the dot behind RS is missing and it just displays RS0.50? It does the same for Swiss Franks Again no dot. So I think I found the cause of the bug! :-D And of course I hope it will be fixed soon as this will be a real issue for everyone outside of the Dollar, Pound, Euro, Yen etc. zone (anywhere that doesn’t use a symbol). |

We've been looking into this bug recently and it looks like its actually a bug in Apple's formatters. They will likely not be fixing this as they now have a new type of formatter.
The problem with the new one is that it requires amounts to be entered exactly as expected, meaning the currency sign followed by a period, followed by a space, followed by the amount with all the correct punctuation. This is a real pain to have to enter the exact format every time. So we are currently investigating a way around this and hope to include it in a future update. |

For those of you that watch this thread. You can get 3.0.3 Final (build 30312) by going to Menu -> Billings -> Check For Updates...
We'll do the official release tomorrow morning (download page and KB). Thanks for all the help! |
