I'm using Billings 3.0.3. The new interface is lovely, smooth and elegant. And the default templates are very nice. Most of the default templates have the last table containing 5 rows: Subtotal, Tax Amount, Invoice Total Due, Past Due, and Total Due.

These five rows are great! I want to add two more above Subtotal: One that shows Total Discount, and another that shows Total Without Discount.

Solutions i've tried:

  • Dynamic text boxes: don't work because they do not align the same from invoice to invoice and they do not match the alignment of the tables, so it looks bad.
  • Adding another table above it of the same width: won't work because the tables always want some kind of data in he middle row that applies to slips, and this does not. So the tables don't work.

I've spent all day trying to figure it out. It's ridiculous! Why is this so hard? Can't I just add a row????

I see this issue and related issues cropping up in the forums but it seems that there is no good answer. Example Here. Can we file a bug report for the template editor?
