My business is service based. I have several clients who expect to see the actual "time" of a slip appear on their invoices. I receive numerous phone calls for consultation on my cell phone while away from my office so I'm forced to post slips for billable events after the fact... sometimes the following morning. I can edit the start date of a slip using the Log feature. However, if the date I need to record is prior to the current date, the time is always "12:00 AM". If I include the start date on line items of my invoice and format it as "DateTime" my clients will be calling me to ask why I'm charging them for phone calls made at midnight while they're asleep. If I remove the time from the invoice, I will receive calls from clients asking me to confirm the time of day when our call occured (which I now need to enter as Log comments). I cannot spend too much time answering these client questions, looking up the actual time of their call, then calling them back. It would be much simpler to just edit "time" info directly and have it appear on the invoice in the first place.
Is there any way to edit the start "time"? Perhaps this is more of a feature request. |
