We often do projects with the same name i.e 'Advertisement' but for diffent clients or 'organisations'.

This presents a problem in Billings as when selecting a report for a project there is no way of telling which 'Advertisement' you need to view.

Is there a way arount this without giving the project a unique name that may appear odd to the client on their invoice?

Unfortunately the way that these pop-up menus work, there's no way except the workaround you've described. However it is something we will need to look at for future versions.
