I'd love to see a few changes to the Timers window.
1. First it would help immensely if you could resize it. I consistently have a problem where the names of my slips are too long for the alloted space and I'm not sure which one to click. If I could just make it a little bigger, I could see everything. 2. Another thing that would be VERY helpful is if there were a column for Client in this window. I work around this short-coming now by adding the client's name to every slip so that the slips are sorted by client in the window, but this is an inconvenience, as I have to go back and delete the names when I invoice, etc. It also contributes to the problem of making my slip names too long for the cramped window (see above). 3. And while you're at it, it would be great if you can fix this issue too, which still drives me crazy: If you double-click on on a slip in the Timers window from another application, it does not open the slip you click on. It opens the last selected slip instead. Similarly, if you click on the start button, the first time it does nothing but switch you to Billings. (A little annoying, but fair enough.) But THEN if you click the start button again to get it going, it starts the timer and instantly stops it again. It usually requires a third click to get it going properly. The results from this are (a) if I am not paying careful attention, I often discover that Billings has failed to start the timer when I clicked the start button, and so I have to guesstimate my time and add it manually to the slip and (b) my slips are filled with little zero second microsessions from where the timer has started, then instantly stopped again. |
