We have 3 Macs and a server now running Daylite v 3.7.4.
Is there a suggested method for upgrading each copy of DL to the latest version? Ie, do we need to shut them all down, and then start upgrading the server first? Or can we just all upgrade each copy when we need to. Mac Pro 2.66Ghz, Leopard 10.5.x, New to Daylite as of Dec 07. |

The recommended way is as follows:
1. Sync all offline databases with the online database before the upgrade and have everyone quit out of Daylite. 2. Backup the online database. 3. Upgrade the database host (server). 4. Log into the online database from the database host machine to upgrade the database (if needed when the schema is updated). 5. Upgrade the client machines. In some upgrades it will be necessary for users with offline databases to recreate their offline database; if that is the case this will be indicated in the ReadMe First file found in the Daylite Documentation folder of the download for Daylite. Updates to the database schema will also be noted in this document. Need help in Daylite or Billings? Check the Help menu for Apple Help documentation. Not sure what to do?
