New to Daylite, really liking what I see. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to invite another user to a meeting. In other words, how does one create something that ends up in the other user's notification window? Looking forward to figuring these things out so we can use this great-looking application. Thanks. Pam
When you create a new calendar item, you'll notice in the item's editing window an area marked "Linked" - at the bottom left of that part of the window there are some icons, the left-most is to "Link users" - click that and you'll get a list of currently active DL users. By linking users here, the calendar item will automatically show up in their notifications window.
Hey there Pam, Also, when the user you're inviting gets their Notification, they may Decline if they can't make it, and a drop down lets them type their reason for declining. Then, because you created the Appt, you will receive an item in your Notification window about the decline and the reason.

Is there a way to invite someone who is not a DL user? With Entourage, I could invite someone and it would send them a .ics file by email. They could then accept or decline. You can also send a .ics file with iCal. So, I'm hoping there is a way to do this - or that it will be added soon.
Any progress on "external" invitees? I have colleagues/clients asking me to send them invitations to phone conferences and can't do it. This is really a needed functionality.
I would like to add support for this request! I own a small company and work with people who are routinely in other places--locally or globally. This is an important functionality in doing business! Thanks!!
I have never used a MAC and after 15 years of being a PC user I use a MAC now. I have been using Daylite for about 2 weeks now and I think it is great. There are some necessary functions that are missing. One of the most important is being able to invite outside recipients for setting meetings. Another one being call logging. Maximizer has some neat functions, maybe Daylite can incorporate some of those.
Add it, add it, add it! - we are a supermodern advertising agency but we can't invite our clients and partners by sending events like in other planner applications. Even simple iCal can do that! Please hurry before we have to explain and find excuses (((((

I got a call on Friday from a 1 billion+ dollar customer asking why I didn't reply to his invitation. I know other Mac apps can do it (I dabble with another groups CRM) and they seem to do it easily.
Please find the link and add this capability...to respond and send invites outside of the company.
The silence from Marketcircle on this issue is deafening. the ability to invite people to a meeting etc outside of the DL user group seems vital to me.
I almost have my President sold on integrating DL into our office. the problem is he just figured out that this feature is not available and is on the verge of dumping the whole thing.
For an app that is this sophisticated, not having outside DL user invitations is a glaring omission.
