My workflow is turning out to be processing lists of contacts that I have related to an opportunity.
In the opportunity view, I can see the linked contacts, double click and get to all of their contact information. However, in order to see the activity I've had with them, I need to switch to the contact view. But when I switch to the contact view I loose the context of the user associated with the opportunity and switch back to the context of the last contact in the contact view that I was looking at. So I need to look up the user that I want to view in the contact view by typing their name. I see two solutions (for sure there are others) ... neither of which seem to be implemented. 1) to be able to view the activity/notes for a contact linked to an opportunity from the opportunity view. 2) to be able to carry the contact context from the opportunity view to the contact view when switching. Or is there a way to do this that is implemented that I haven't discovered. Thanks for any help. -Steve |

I recommend attaching a unique identifier associated with the context to the contact. Perhaps using categories or keywords.
You can then filter contacts based on your context and view all activities with a contact without going between views. -jl |
