I know that you can drag appointments from one day to another, but how come if I change an appointment to postponed, it doesn't bring up a way to select when the appointment has been postponed until? That would make sense, right?

Hi Sean,
You can set up your Contextual Menu prefs to allow you to right-click on the Appointment and change it's status to Postponed. If it's been postponed, there's no new appt date so there's not a way to say 'postponed until'.

You can configure your Contextual Menu prefs (very cool!) in Daylite>Preferences>Contextual Menu. If you're not a big right-clicker you can of course double-click the Appointment and change the Status pulldown to Postponed.

Take care,
Cynthia

Thanks a lot!

It is too bad that there is no "postpone until" function. Maybe that is something that could be considered? Has anyone inquired about this function before?

Thanks again,
Sean Carter

So sorry, I'm confused...if you know 'when' you're postponing it 'until', doesn't that mean that you have a new appt date? If it's more loose like postpone till the 2nd week in August but no firm date...
What I do when someone postpones an appt with me is to create a reminder on that appt for when I want to check back in with them to reschedule. So let's say I have an appt with you today (7/30) and you postpone it telling me 'let's try the 2nd week of August': I'll mark today's appt as Postponed, and set a reminder for today's appt for August 1. That way I get a Notification to check in with you on Aug 1 to see if we can reschedule that orig appt. When we decide on a new date, I just change the orig. appt to the new date and time and change the appt's status to Confirmed.

Take care,
Cynthia

I hear what you're saying. For the most part I would do what you do, but lots of times things just get pushed a couple of days, so I guess that dragging the appointment works just as well
