How do I mass e-mail an entire group? Or even my whole contact list in Daylite? I found a solution.

Hi Pete,
Certainly you can do that. You can make a smart list to pull by your desired criteria. Then select all of the resulting Contacts and choose Actions>Write Email. All of the emails will go into your email app's "To" field. If you want them to go into "Bcc" instead, hold the option key while you choose Actions>Write Email. This is the simple way to do it but offers no personalization such as Dear firstname. That would be achieved using the Merge Letter function, or by exporting to your favorite bulk email program (mine is MaxBulk Mailer though there are others).

I guess I do not know how to select the contacts. I mean I see the long list. I can highlite some or all, but when I go to Actions there is not any function Write E-mail.

Hi John,
Are you certain that there's no option for "Write Email" under the Actions menu? It should be about the 7th item in under Actions.
Can you tell us what version of Daylite are you using?

Take care,
Cynthia

Refresh
Bulk Edit
Combine

That's what's on my list half way down under the Actions tab.

I'm running version 1.9 and thank you for the help.

I think under v1.x the menu bar items were different -- is there something like "Communicate"?

I think there was also a menu item for "Send to Maildrop", in case you'd got a licence for that. At one point (don't know if they still are) you could get one gratis, on request from Marketcircle. Maildrop is a bulk mailing programme that gives an enhanced set of features such as merge keys, attachments, and mail header control.

You are right.

When I hilite several contacts and then go atop and click on Correspond I then from this drop down choose Write E-mail With E-mail Client. Which then opens an e-mail window with the several contacts on the "send to" part of the e-mail.

How do I get those contacts in the BCC area? I've tried shift, control, option and Apple clicking with each when I click on the Write E-mail With E-mail Client? Thanks
